Hotel photography for Brunfels Hotel Mainz, capturing contemporary design, botanical influences and the character of a boutique hotel in the historic centre of Mainz.
Rooms, restaurant, bar and selected interiors were photographed to clearly show the design concept, materials and atmosphere of the hotel in a consistent visual language.

Objective:
The aim was to show the hotel’s design in a clear and honest way, focusing on its mix of modern style and retro-inspired elements, as well as its connection to the city of Mainz and its cultural context.
The photography highlights the hotel’s identity as a boutique property that combines contemporary design with references to local history and the botanist Otto Brunfels.
Approach:
The visual approach follows a reduced composition, using light and perspective to lead the eye through the space and towards details that define the atmosphere.
It focuses on:
-
showing materials and details that define the interiors through light and framing that bring out textures, surfaces and finishes
-
capturing the warm, lived-in atmosphere through soft light and compositions that focus on details, materials and subtle signs of use
-
focusing on the interior spaces and how light, materials and layout shape the experience of the rooms
Result & Impact:
The images show the design, atmosphere and character of the hotel, helping to position it as a refined boutique hotel in the centre of Mainz.
